QHS soccer started in the fall of 1974 with Mario Camacho as the head coach. Over the last 40 years, six different coaches have guided the Blue Devils and two of those coaches were for 1 year only. The Blue Devils have reached the State Quarter-Finals five times, placing 4th in 1995. That team was inducted into the QHS Hall of fame in 2009. Over the years, 51 players have received all-sectional honors and 21 have made all-state.
Matt Longo is currently the coach of the Blue Devils and this is his second stint as head coach. Matt previously coached from 1987-1996 and has been coaching again since 2004. The 2011 season saw Coach Longo win his 300th career game as a boys coach at QHS. Currently, 3 coaches within the QHS program played previously for Coach Longo.
The QHS soccer program has enjoyed success on the field over the years. The Blue Devils have won nearly 70% of their games in school history and the first victory of the 2010 season marked the programs 500th.
